AIA Approved Continuing Education Course

Through the help of Ron Blank and Associates, TCI is able to offer an American Institute of Architects (AIA) approved continuing education course called “Everything You Want to Know About Architectural Powder Coatings but Were Too Afraid to Ask”. This is an instructor led class to further the expertise of our valued coating professionals. It is a one-hour session that covers all things powder coating from the advantages over liquid paint, to the process of manufacturing the powder. One of the best features of this course is that it can be given face-to-face through a lunch and learn, or conveniently online through a webinar.

Recently TCI’s Market Segment Manager, Tom Hanson, led an AIA Lunch and Learn in Atlanta and it made for a fun and enlightening learning experience. The conference style meeting space allowed for open discussion and questions, perfect for the attendees as they were involved and inquisitive. The biggest takeaway from the Atlanta session was realizing that although these architects constantly work with clients that use powder coatings, many of them have a limited knowledge of what powder coatings actually are. Much of the information we provided to them was new and applicable to conversations they will have throughout their careers.

Everybody benefits from an AIA course. Those in attendance receive 1 AIA LU/HSW CE credit hour, while obtaining valuable knowledge they can share with others they work with. The face-to-face sessions also allow a relationship to form between attendees and the presenter in case questions ever arise in the future about powder coatings. This session benefited TCI in the sense we get to spread awareness of our products and share access to our resources, such as our Powder Coater Directory which is used to locate quality powder coaters that spray with our high-performance product.

As the powder coating market continues to see growth, and many industries begin switching over from liquid paint, we feel this course could be very beneficial to those in the Architectural industry.  If you are interested in having TCI present an AIA Lunch and Learn for your team submit a request through our website here: https://tcipowder.com/programs/aia-approved-continuing-education-course/ -This is also where we will post any updates on upcoming webinars.
